The X1 is built in limited batches through 2027, and build slots are allocated in the order deposits are received. A $500 reservation holds your slot today and leaves the balance until your unit is ready to leave the warehouse.
The deposit is charged without sales tax. Tax and any applicable duties are calculated on the balance invoice at the rates in force when your unit ships.

QIs the $500 deposit an extra charge on top of the price?
No. The $500 is part of the $3,699 price, not an addition to it. You pay $500 today and $3,199 before your unit is dispatched — $3,699 in total, the same as paying in full.
QWhen and how do I pay the remaining $3,199?
We email you a balance invoice roughly 14 days before your build slot reaches the front of the queue — no later than 15 December 2026. You can pay it through the same secure PayPal checkout used here. Your unit is dispatched once the balance clears.
QCan I get the deposit back?
Yes. Cancel any time before dispatch and we refund the full $500 to your original payment method, usually within 5 business days. No restocking fee, no questions asked. Once your unit has shipped, the standard 14-day return policy applies instead.
QDo I still get the $597 in pre-order bonuses with a deposit?
Yes — the bonuses are tied to the pre-order, not to how you pay. Reserving with a deposit secures the same $597 package: the fast charger, the protective padding set and the extended warranty.
QWhat if I want to pay in full later instead?
Just pay the balance invoice early — there is no penalty and no interest. Or contact us and we will convert your reservation into a full payment at any time before dispatch.
QIs the deposit refundable if the price drops or the spec changes?
Yes. If we change the price or any headline specification before dispatch, you can cancel for a full refund of the deposit even if you are past the cancellation window.

Product specifications are as published by the manufacturer and may be revised before release — any material change gives you the right to cancel for a full refund.
